Who it suits
- 11 mm core. A thinner core is livelier, the traditional pick for pop (Onix, Paddletek), though Pickleball Effect's 2026 analysis finds modern 16 mm paddles have lost little of it (Pickleball Effect).
- Midweight, 7.7–8.1 oz. Between Paddletek's lightweight (7.3 oz and under) and heavy (8.5 oz and over) classes: the range suggested for beginners and for sore arms (Paddletek).
- Elongated (shape estimated from the paddle's width). Trades forgiveness for reach, and scores lowest of the three shapes on comfort measures (Pickleball Effect).
- 5.87 in handle. Room for a two-handed backhand: 5.4 in or longer is what Pickleball Effect recommends (Pickleball Effect, PickleballUS).
- 4 in grip. A smaller grip; between sizes, the sources say go smaller and build up with an overgrip (Pickleball Central, Paddletek).
Not published by ProKennex: swingweight, twistweight. The finder never hides a paddle for a missing spec; it ranks it lower.
